Dr. Benjamin Franklin Isom, is a native of Miami, Florida and he  graduated in 1964 from  Miami Northwestern Senior High School.  He later served in the Army  from 1966-68 and received an honoraable discharge.  Benjamin  enrolled at  Miami Dade College and was recruited to join the City of Miami Police Academy as a Police Officer. later retiring  as a Captain.  Benjamin continued to  further his education and  receive a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from  Nova University in 1983. He passed on January 19, 2025 in Miami, Florida. Services were held at Mt. Hermon AME Church in Miami, Gardens on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
